Red Tent Aotearoa – Ōtautahi offers a welcoming place to gather, share, and learn in community. Whether you’re drawn to meaningful conversation, collective wisdom, or opportunities for self-growth, you’re in the right place.

Our circles are held twice a month at the Quaker Centre on Ferry Road, Christchurch.

  • Mixed Circle: 2nd Sunday of each month

  • Women’s Circle: 4th Sunday of each month

Throughout the year, we also host special interest workshops and gatherings that honour the cycles of life, the moon, and the seasons. Details are shared as they become available.

If you’re outside of Ōtautahi (Christchurch), you can connect with your local Red Tent Aotearoa branch to find gatherings and events near you.

Mary Magdalene Retreat - Gore Bay 2026

Reclaiming the Lost Teachings of the Gospel of Mary is a deeply immersive retreat exploring the mystical wisdom of one of the most significant early Christian texts. Guided by Dr Annie Southern, this experience invites you into the forgotten feminine lineage of early Christianity - one that honours personal revelation, spiritual awakening, and the path of the soul.

Through teachings, discussion, and embodied practice, we will explore the life and legacy of Mary Magdalene as mystic, teacher, and spiritual leader, while reconnecting with a deeper, more intuitive relationship to spirituality. Held in peaceful natural settings, this retreat offers a space for insight, connection, and remembrance.

Building Communication Bridges - Two Days with Janet Redmond

We are thrilled to share that communication teacher Janet Redmond will be coming to Ōtautahi Christchurch this June to offer a powerful two-day workshop for our community. Building Communication Bridges - Inside & Out is an immersive experience designed to support new ways of communicating and connecting - both within ourselves and with others.

Despite our best intentions, old patterns and habits can create frustrating gaps between what we mean and what others hear. This workshop invites you to explore practical tools to bridge those gaps with greater clarity, presence, and compassion. Through guided exercises and group exploration, participants will learn how to respond rather than react, express themselves more effectively, and transform communication challenges into opportunities for deeper connection in relationships, work, and community.

This experience is open to anyone wanting to strengthen their communication skills and build more meaningful, aligned relationships.

Saturday 29th August + Sunday 30th August | 09:30am – 5:00pm | Somerfield Community Centre, Ōtautahi Christchurch
